What Agile Coaching Means To Me?

Hi everyone!

Since I am new to your community I thought it’d be a good idea to introduce myself to you and explain why you’ll see me blogging and interacting with you.

My name is Natalia and I am Agile Coach. A while ago I “met” Hugo over Linkedin and I got very inspired about his Agile work in Indonesia, Ekipa team and how they operate. That brought us to collaboration on different topics related to Agile Coaching and since I’d like to get closer to Agile community and Agile evolution in Indonesia (you’ll understand why in a short moment) I will be sharing with you on regular basis my ideas and experiences. I am looking forward your comments, questions and thoughts!

My passion for Agile mindset and Agile Values and Principles have brought me to my career of Agile Coach. I’ve always been passionate about helping individuals and teams to grow their talent (their motivation, ability to self-organise, collaboration etc.) and to help them improve the ways they work through application of appropriate and well implemented practices. This is very much aligned with one of my favorite Agile quotes which say: “In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or step back into safety.”

My ultimate goal is not to make people Agile but to help organizations to drive better business results through delivering higher value to their end customers faster. This can only be achieved when people who work for you have the right skills and are truly motivated and self-driven. Also, your customers need to be in the center of your attention every single day. Otherwise, your business doesn’t make sense (at least not long term).

My belief is that Agile is for everyone and can be used and implemented by any function and any team. Therefore I am passionate about exploring different angles of business agility and helping different functional and cross-functional teams to define their own Agile journey and implement the right Agile tools and techniques. I am also helping senior leaders to challenge and shape their traditional mindsets, shift their thinking and behaviours to become more Agile and to adopt appropriate Agile practices and techniques. This allows them to build high-performing teams which have direct impact on the happiness and success of their end customers and benefits for health and growth of the company.

In my role of Agile coach I deliver and train teams and individuals on a high variety of different Agile topics, techniques and practices. I also coach teams and groups (ex. leaders, Agile champions) through their Agile journeys in a more embedded, long term way based on their real needs.

My other – rather personal – passion is my young family and travelling the world whenever possible. Our this year destination was Bali and we fell in love with this beautiful island so much that we decided to make it our new home. Right now, we are taking steps to make this new dream happen and are very excited about this change. Hopefully, I’ll be able to meet all of you in Indonesia soon!

In the meantime, I’d be very happy to connect with you and discuss any Agile related topic or answer your questions! Feel free to contact me via my LinkedIn account.
